We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Search details you enter are used to run your searches and for nothing else.
1. Who is responsible
ADAM operates this website and the ADAM software and is the party responsible for personal information collected through them. Privacy questions and requests go to [email protected].
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and the credentials for your ADAM account.
- Order information — the record of your purchase, its amount and date. Card numbers are handled by our Merchant of Record and are never received by us.
- Search information — the names, name variants, locations and history details you enter in order to run searches, and a record of which searches you have already run.
- Support correspondence — the content of emails you send us.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, your online banking password, card PIN or full government identification numbers. No part of ADAM requires them. If anyone claiming to represent ADAM asks you for those, it is not us — please report it to the support address above.
3. How we use it
- To create and maintain your account and give you access to the software.
- To run and save the searches you ask for.
- To answer support requests and process refunds.
- To keep the site and your account secure and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not use your search data to build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Legal bases (where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies)
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the software you bought | Performance of a contract |
| Support, refunds and order handling | Performance of a contract |
| Security, fraud prevention, service improvement | Legitimate interests |
| Analytics cookies | Consent |
| Tax and accounting records | Legal obligation |
5. Payment information
Purchases are processed by Explodely, the authorised retailer and Merchant of Record. Card details are entered on their systems, are subject to their privacy policy, and are never received or stored by us. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount, and the email address associated with the order.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with:
- Service providers who make the product work — payment processing, email delivery, hosting and customer support tooling — each bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal information of EEA or UK residents is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. How long we keep it
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account and search data | While your account is active; deleted on request or on closure |
| Order and transaction records | 7 years, to satisfy tax and accounting requirements |
| Support correspondence | 2 years |
| Server and security logs | 12 months |
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that point. Exercising any right never affects the price you paid or the service you receive.
The full process, including how we verify a request and how to use an authorised agent, is on the Data Rights page.
10. Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies. You can clear or block them in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for the site to function.

11. Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit with TLS. Access to personal information inside our systems is limited to people who need it to do their work, and backups are taken regularly. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information and the law requires notification, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the applicable deadline.
12. Children
This product is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how we use information you have already given us, notify you by email.
